Netaim Social Club
The Netaim Club operates as a social club for independent older adults and is managed by Ronit Shtrasberg. The club also provides transportation services.
Netaim has been active for over 20 years in the Migdal neighborhood, offering a warm, homely atmosphere with a supportive and embracing approach.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, morning activities include current affairs discussions, exercise, lectures, folk dancing, yoga, Qigong, reflexology treatments, weekly Torah portion study, and applied arts.
On Sundays and Tuesdays, afternoon activities include hobby classes and social games such as Rummikub and Bingo.
Throughout the year, club members go on trips, and during holidays and special occasions, intergenerational activities are held with school students in the city.
The uniqueness of the club lies in the dedication of nine long-serving volunteers, who have been coming consistently for over 15 years. The staff fosters a sense of purpose, encourages social connections, and provides feelings of belonging and trust.
