“Savi” is a unique initiative that aims to provide meaningful employment for seniors. The center is a leading model for social-business entrepreneurship, and serves as a warm home for employees who have the opportunity to work, earn money, and enjoy the company of others.
What is the "Savi" Employment Center? The vision of the project
"Savi" was founded in Australia about 30 years ago by a philanthropic couple, Sarah and Victor Fonda, with the belief that "a busy senior is a healthy senior." In 2003, the project was transferred to Israel and established in Hod Hasharon as part of the activities of the Klik Association.

“Savi” Employment Center
Over the years, the Click Association saw the project as a wonderful opportunity and came up with the idea of leveraging the possibilities, providing dignified employment and income for the elderly and returning them to the workforce and social circle. Thus, in 2003, the "Savi" project became the "Savi" Employment Center.
Social business entrepreneurship for the elderly in Israel
The employment center, managed by Mazal Sabag, employs senior citizens. The center produces raw materials for creation, craft kits, and runs craft workshops for summer camps, community centers, kindergartens, schools, stores, senior clubs, and the general public. In addition, the center produces holiday and event gifts for companies and the general public. The seniors are employed for full wages in cutting, sewing, packaging, etc.

Savi Center Branches – Reaching More Seniors
The Click Association has expanded the activities of the "Savi" Center to 5 additional branches, operating within social clubs funded by the Dalia and Eli Horvitz Foundation and the Foundation for Special Enterprises.
The elderly receive symbolic financial compensation for their work and are involved in a wide variety of activities such as sewing, ceramics, and packaging to produce products that are sold to community centers, high-tech companies, kindergartens, schools, stores, seniors' clubs, and the general public

Creative workshops in Savi:
The Savi Employment Center (SAVI) hosts teams and/or children for joint activities with the retirees employed at the center. In the activity, they prepare: dolls, pillows, bags, mobiles, and more. The products can be donated according to your choice and decision, such as: hospitals, kindergartens, etc. or taken with you. Workshop duration: about 3 hours Light refreshments are served. Busy with Joy A Socio Economic Solution for Retirees
The "Busy with Joy" project, founded by the click association in Hod Hasharon, is designed to improve the quality of life of retirees from low socioeconomic status by creating dignified and suitable jobs. The project provides creative solutions such as producing craft kits and marketing them to educational institutions, community centers, and nursing homes. The project combines social and economic goals, with the aim of providing retirees with sufficient employment that brings value to society while providing additional income. The success of the project allowed the association to expand it and create a unique socio-economic model that is an inspiration for the development of social entrepreneurship in Israel.
