CLICK Association and Aid to Corona Cruise Passengers: Innovative Support in Challenging Times
During the quarantine period of the Israeli Corona cruise ship passengers, CLICK Association in Hod HaSharon led a unique initiative that provided remote assistance and emotional support. In collaboration with Uniper company, the association broadcast activities directly to the isolation rooms at Sheba Medical Center Tel Hashomer, all through advanced technologies designed to improve quality of life.
Virtual Meetings to Relieve Tension
The activities included interactive meetings such as mindfulness exercises and positive thinking, conducted by the association’s volunteers at the Virtual Center, Rachel Shakedi and Yosefa Neuhauser. The initiative not only helped alleviate stress and anxiety but also created important moments of connection and dialogue for people in complete isolation.
CLICK’s Virtual Center: Community Connection Through Technology
CLICK Association, which works to strengthen community ties and alleviate loneliness among senior citizens, has been operating its Virtual Center since 2015. The project, which began as a pilot initiated by Dr. Linda Mosek and Tali Schatz, focuses on using technology to connect homebound people to social activities and support.
Collaboration with Uniper: Accessible Technology for All
In 2017, the company collaborated with the startup Uniper, which developed a user-friendly solution through a simple remote control and TV screen. This technology made virtual meetings accessible for elderly populations, thereby strengthening their mental and social resilience.
National Initiative with Broad Support
This initiative, which received support from organizations such as ESHEL-JDC, National Insurance Institute, and the Ministry of Welfare, is just one example of CLICK Association’s ongoing effort to improve quality of life in Israel.
