Community revolution locating & connecting senior citizens “under the radar”
“The Community CLICK” program is designed to locate senior citizens “under the radar” and connect them to services in the community, in order to improve their quality of life. The seniors are located by volunteer / neighbors, who maintain regular contact with them either via an innovative app, phone calls or home visits, depending on the agreement between them.
The aim of the project is to establish a community outreach project in every neighborhood of the city so as to:
- Enable senior citizens to join community activities and keep in touch with community members
- Provide information regarding rights & services
- Create a neighborhood watch and supportive framework for senior citizens
- Refer senior citizens to the Department of Social Services / Social Security / other necessary services.
